1. Sylvia Halpert: Interesting Encounters of Interest to Hebrew Nations

Dear Yair,
 I am very grateful for the information you provide for us every week! Frequently I get into conversations with people who are open to the Hebrew Nations message, and so I can share it. Today was no exception. My husband and I flew from the Pacific Coast to Michigan and during the first part of the long flight I read from Natan Sharansky's book Defending Identity. Beside me was a gentleman reading, To Rule the Waves by Arthur Herman, author of How the Scots Invented the Modern World. After a while I asked if he was enjoying his book. He was, and was eager to discuss it. He told me about Britain's naval power and the British Commonwealth.

 I told him about Balaam's prophecy regarding Israel ruling the waves and the corresponding paraphrase of Numbers 24 in Josephus Antiquities of the Jews, Book 4 chapt. 6 v 4. He got it! He wanted to know more so he could relate the information to an Irish friend at work. I gave him www.HebrewNations.com and went over as many of the sons of Jacob as I could correlated to nations. We talked for 3 hours, during which time he shared with me that his father was from Poland and he thinks he might be Jewish but can't prove it. He feels inside that he is.

As we talked, the woman on the other side of me joined the conversation and said she was had converted to Judaism 10 years ago and was interested in what we were discussing.

So you see, the Restoration is happening. Each of these people will no doubt go home and tell someone about today. They will be encouraged and inspired. Thank you again, Yair, for teaching us so that we can teach others. By the way, I used my timeline to help them see the sequence of events. Of course I was thrilled that the man asked so many questions. I just wish I could help him learn about his ancestry.

2. Question on the term Israelite?

I have asked this question before but always in  curiousity as to who are the true Israelites.My concern is; if I get asked by someone who is an Israelite, when they already know the answer,and show me that the word Israelite was  first used in the Bible before the word jew,and only in the 12 th book of the Bible is the word jew used - as in 2 Kings 16:6 then I always need to be ready to give the righ answer.
Now if all the other 11 tribes of the 12 were called Israelites ,surely they should be still known as Israelites today.
More intriguinging is the fact that the so called called lost tribes of Israel in the western parts of the world are not even known as Israelites by most jews.They are not even mistaken for jews, but are known as Gentiles.What I mean is unlearned and hard headed pastors call everyone not a jew , a Gentile.Unless one knows  the History of Israel concerning the splitting of the kingdoms, the captivity,the migration into Europe and England of these tribes, and later to the far flung aprts of the earth like the USA, South Africa, N.Z. and Australia they would not know the difference,but we as 'lost white tribes' know that we are Israelites. Please let your readers get to hear YOUR explanation because we cannot be known as Israelites ourselves, well those that know and be called Gentiles as well. ...I really appreciate your time.

Shalom,
The term Gentiles is Latin for nations. The Hebrew equivalent, Goyim, also means nations.  In the Bible the term Goyim may apply to Israelites as well as non-Israelites.
It is however sometimes used specifically for non-Israelites and this is how it is now understood.
There were 12 tribes of Israel.
The term Israel when used in juxtaposition to Judah (e.g. Judah and Israel) usually means the Ten Tribes so some times it means 11 tribes except for Judah.
Otherwise the term Israel can mean either one of the following:
a. All the tribes of Israel including Judah.
b. The Ten Tribes excluding Judah.
c. The People of Judah meaning mainly members of the Tribes of Judah, Levi, Benjamin, and minority representatives of the other Tribes. This usage is found in parts of Ezekiel, Ezra, Nehemiah, and elsewhere.

Another usage is religious.
Gentile has come to mean someone who is not a member of the Jewish religion even if they are descended from Israel.
Language is what people understand words to mean.
We do not have to be overduly judgmental about this.

We agree with you however that everybody should be aware that the Ten Lost Tribes do  exist. 

They are not  to be found anywhere as coherent groups except amongst Western nations.
Most of these are indeed technically white peoples.
We should not however emphasize this point. The Bible does not mention it.
Most white peoples are NOT Israelite.
On the contrary.

Quite a few of them are traditonal enemies of Judah and Israel.

We are living in Genesis Chapter 18 as I see it.
 
(Gen 18:22 HRB)  And the men faced around from there and went toward Sodom. And Abraham was still standing before  [the ALMIGHTY]
 
(Gen 18:23 HRB)  And Abraham drew near and said, Is it so? Will You cut off the righteous with the wicked?
 
(Gen 18:24 HRB)  Perhaps there are fifty righteous within the city; is it so You will cut off and will not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous ones that are within it?
Perhaps there are 5 million in the USA.
 
(Gen 18:25 HRB)  Far be it from You to act in this way, to put to death the righteous with the wicked. Far be it from You. The Judge of all the earth, shall He not do right?
 
(Gen 18:26 HRB)  And [the ALMIGHTY] said, If I find fifty righteous within the city, in Sodom, then I will spare all the place because of them.
If I find 5 million in the USA.
 
(Gen 18:27 HRB)  And Abraham answered and said, Behold, I pray, I have undertaken to speak to [the ALMIGHTY] and I am dust and ash.
 
(Gen 18:28 HRB)  Perhaps there will be lacking five from the fifty righteous, will You destroy all the city for the five? And He said, If I find forty five there, I will not destroy.
Perhaps there will be lacking 5000 from the 5 million.
If I find 45 million there, I will not destroy.
 
(Gen 18:29 HRB)  And he continued still to speak to Him and said, Perhaps forty will be found there. And He said, I will not do it because of the forty.
Perhaps 40 million?
I will not do it because of the 40 million.
 
(Gen 18:30 HRB)  And he said, Please [the ALMIGHTY] do not be angry, that I may speak; perhaps thirty will be found there. And He said, I will not do it if I find thirty there.
Perhaps 30 million will be found there.
I will not do it if I find 30 million there.
 
(Gen 18:31 HRB)  And he said, Behold, I pray, I have undertaken to speak to Adonai; perhaps twenty will be found there. And He said, I will not destroy because of the twenty.
Perhaps 20 million will be found there.
I will not destroy because of 20 million.
 
(Gen 18:32 HRB)  And he said, I pray, let not YAHWEH be angry that I may speak only this time; perhaps ten will be found there. And He said, I will not destroy because of the ten.
Perhaps 10 million will be found there.
I will not destroy because of the 10 million.

It appears that the USA will be destroyed.
All the signs point in that direction.
 
This does not mean that we should stop praying. We need to now pray even more following the directions of Scripture.

5. Weekly Portion. "VaYera"
Genesis chs.18 to 22
And He Appeared

Extracts:
This section is called "VaYera" meaning "And He appeared" which word-construct occurs in the first sentence.  
[Genesis 18:1] AND THE LORD APPEARED UNTO HIM IN THE PLAINS OF MAMRE: AND HE SAT IN THE TENT DOOR IN THE HEAT OF THE DAY;  
"APPEARED": He was and is always there, He just made Himself apparent.       

[Genesis 19:4] BUT BEFORE THEY LAY DOWN, THE MEN OF THE CITY, EVEN THE MEN OF SODOM, COMPASSED THE HOUSE ROUND, BOTH OLD AND YOUNG, ALL THE PEOPLE FROM EVERY QUARTER: 
They wanted to rape the men. Homosexuals in order to receive acceptance make a play for tolerance on the principle of freedom of choice BUT they themselves are not so tolerant. If you give in to evil then evil is liable to befall you. Homosexuality is almost always accompanied by a predatory attitude exulting in exploitation of the weak and vulnerable including the very young.   
 
[Genesis 21:17] AND GOD HEARD THE VOICE OF THE LAD; AND THE ANGEL OF GOD CALLED TO HAGAR OUT OF HEAVEN, AND SAID UNTO HER, WHAT AILETH THEE, HAGAR? FEAR NOT; FOR GOD   HATH HEARD THE VOICE OF THE LAD WHERE HE IS.
The sages emphasize the expression HEARD THE VOICE OF THE LAD WHERE HE IS. Ishmael was a bad man. He was destined to return and do evil and oppress the Israelites.  Neither was he the chosen seed but a reprobate relative who had to be sent away. Even so at that moment he cried to God and God heard him and had mercy. We should repent always but especially in times of trouble. Maybe we are not sure of how sorry we really are over what we have done. Nor are we certain that in the very near future we will not continue to give in to temptation. God knows us better than we know ourselves. We are surely worse than we realize. Even so from the case of Ishmael you see that if one genuinely asks God for help He does not judge us harshly. He helps.                   

The purpose of the test was to enable the international aspects of the Promises to be fulfilled UNCONDITIONALLY.
After the Akeda (After the Binding) i.e. after Abraham had passed the test, God Blessed Abraham, 
And said, By myself have I sworn, says the LORD, for because you have done this thing , and have not withheld your son, your only son,
THAT IN BLESSING I WILL BLESS YOU, AND IN MULTIPLYING I WILL MULTIPLY YOUR SEED AS THE STARS OF THE HEAVEN, AND AS THE SAND WHICH IS UPON THE SEASHORE; AND YOUR SEED SHALL POSSESS THE GATE OF HIS ENEMIES.;
AND IN YOUR SEED SHALL ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED; BECAUSE YOU HAVE OBEYED MY VOICE."
Note the expression in the first part of this blessing,
By myself have I sworn, says the LORD because you have done this thing , and have Not withheld Your son , your only son from  me.
By myself have I sworn, says the LORD in other words UNCONDITIONALLY, by MYSELF, i.e. by HIMSELF, by the very essence of God Almighty and therefore NOT SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!!!.
This is a new development: Some of the previous blessings are now repeated and involve being  multiplied as the stars of the heavens and of the seashores; there is also a promise to inherit the gate of your enemies i.e.  strategic points, and the PROMISE IS NOW UNCONDITIONAL: In this verse nothing is said about the LAND because the LAND is not unconditional but is contingent upon keeping the commandments and Monotheistic belief as we have explained elsewhere.

Thousands of Millions = Alfei Revavah ?? Eventually Abraham became old and thought he was going to die so he sent his servant Elazar to the House of his father to bring back a wife. Elazar went and brought back Rivka (Rebecca) with him. Before she went the family of Rebecca blessed her. They said unto her (Genesis 24:60),  You are our sister, be you the mother of thousands of millions and may your seed possess the gate of those that hate them.
["be thou the mother of thousands of millions" -it says in the KJ though the Hebrew translated here as thousands of millions is "alfei revavah" which actually would be translated today as saying "thousands of ten thousands" i.e. Tens of Millions though it could be understood to mean more. Like the sand of the sea and like the stars in heaven for multitude.  However it is understood -whether as saying tens of millions,  or thousands of millions , it is definitely talking about a great many people.
Rebecca was also blessed, -and may your seed possess the gate of those that hate them.
i.e. May the  seed of Rebecca and Isaac  possess the strategic passes promised  in the Blessings.    Â
