1. Hebrew Nations Appeal: The Chosen
(1 May, 2014, 1 Iyar, 5774)
Give an Offering to Brit-Am:
We usually send out appeals quite often. Recently we have been doing it less than usual.
Our needs have not lessened. On the contrary.
At all events, as we have said on numerous occasions, they who help us shall be helped from Heaven.
We believe that what we do is in accordance with the directions of Scripture.
It is a joint effort, we and you together.
Without help from others, alongside sale of our publications, we cannot function.
Our publications sell; people give regularly and/or spontaneously.
The total amounts often help us meet most of our ongoing expenses and sometimes more,
BUT it is not enough. The lack accumulates.
We need help.
Please give to Brit-Am.
Send an offering, if you can.
Those who cannot give, no matter what the reason, have no need to explain.
There is a chance that only a very few, if any, will answer this call.
Nevertheless it is a genuine need for a genuine cause.
It is our belief, that who ever helps us will themselves be helped.
They are the Chosen: Become one of them.
God bless you all,
on behalf of
2. Month of Iyar: Issachar
The Hebrew month of Iyar has began.
This month according to the most accepted Rabbinical opinions, i.e. of the Arizal and of the Gra, pertains to Issachar.
Other opinions attribute it to Reuben (Midrash Pliah), or Simeon (Rabad).
The Zodiac Sign given for Iyar is a bull. A bull is otherwise considered the symbol of Joseph or specifically of Ephraim.
The name Iyar is related (like my own name, Yair, to the word root OR (AYR) meaning light, enlighten.
May we all be enlightened by the light of the Almighty.
3. YouTube Clip: Time-Line: Moses. Plan A for Israel
Duration: 10.10 minutes
This Time-Line authored by Sylvia Halpert and explained by Yair Davidiy continues Israelite history from the Going Down to Egypt. Moses was told to bring the Israelites forth out of subjection to the Egyptians. Following a series of amazing miracles the Hebrews were delivered on the first Passover. They received the Ten Commandments and the Law on Mount Sinai. They were supposed to carry out Plan A but were inadequate to the Task. Plan B went into effect.
