#2. Joe: Can you help me under the Israeli Right to Return Law?
For some reason, this particular short posting by Joe has stayed with me all day today. I thought it might be beneficial to the community of readers of this newsletter to share my own thoughts on this subject.
First a bit of background. It was only about 5 or 6 years ago that I had my first exposure to the notion of the 10 Tribes being located in much of what is considered to be the Western peoples. It was a major moment of insight for me and inspired me to start reading more about the subject. In addition to the grand historical significance of this, there was a personal dimension in terms of coming to terms with the fact that my own ancestry traces back to the 10 Tribes and also Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I was already very pro Israel and this not only helped understand one possible reason for this but also kindled a desire to be able to live in the last sane country on the planet. I was curious and hopeful about this possibility, and even today, I sometimes fantasize on what it might be like to finish my days on earth in the Holy Land.
Notwithstanding my personal hopes and desires in this regard, I have since come to understand that this is something that is not meant to be at this stage in history for either myself or the hundreds of millions of other Israelites that still do not know who they are. In fact, it is this lack of realization by such a grand multitude -- something ordained by the Lord Almighty Himself until the time of His choosing -- that makes it imperative for people like me to remain outside of the Holy Land where we are positioned to communicate this knowledge to others who still do not know where they came from.Â
Presently, I reside in Japan where I have lived for decades. Yet somehow this knowledge came to reach even me through the efforts of Brit-Am and others who have done such good work on the subject. There is no doubt that such work reflects the will of Heaven, and for anybody whose religious background is Judeo-Christian, this is backed up by what the Prophets have relayed to us. I was put where I am now for a reason and I accept that (1) even optimistically, retirement and burial in the Holy Land for me is a remote possibility at best, and (2) retirement and burial in my country of origin is probably not going to happen either.
I guess what I want to say to other "Joes" like me is to rejoice in the new knowledge we have been given about ourselves, stay where we have been put (for now), and reach out to others who also need to know who they are.

2. Michelle Bowie: Do Not Rely on Snopes!

# 1. Warning: Use Water on Burns NOT anything else!
Shalom Yair,
A word about those who rely on Snopes to confirm anything. They shouldn't.
Snopes has been wrong so many times it would be fruitless to list the instances.
People should not be misled by this website of so-called reliable truth. It's rubbish and anything they promote should be held in suspicion of being nothing more than propaganda aimed at steering people away from truth, instead of the other way around. So far with everything I have ever had to confirm or deny, Snopes has a 90% track record of being incorrect.
Just as the Scriptures say two or more witnesses should be used to confirm a truth and that wisdom works well with the internet also.
Blessings, mb

3. Don Davis: New Christian Article Warning Against Divestment from Israel
Hi Yair,
Â
In my latest article in the Times of Israel: 'a stern warning to Christians who divest from Israel', I added a little note about Brit-am.

Thanks for your work,

Extracts:
This article summarizes the potential dangers to any Christian who knowingly divests, participates in boycotting Israel or contributes in any kind of anti-Jewish or anti-Israeli behavior.
In Genesis 15:18 God promised Abraham the land. Then in Genesis 17:7-8 and 17:19 the Lord gave Abraham His 'everlasting covenant' which included blessing Abraham, his seed born from Sarah, and to be their God. The same covenant was confirmed to Abraham's son Isaac in Genesis 26:3-4. Next God established His covenant with Abraham's grandson (Isaac's son), Jacob in Genesis 28:13-15. Jacob was renamed Israel by God in Genesis 35:10.
Additional testimony which cements God's concern for Israel and His people the Jews stretching far into the future is in Isaiah 14:1, 49:3-23, Jeremiah 16:14-15, Ezekiel 36:1-15, 36:21-38, 37:1-14, and other applications of prophecies in the books of Joel and Zachariah.
To add more to the equation, who is to say many Christians are not descended from the Ten Tribes known as the Lost Israelites?
When the Ten Israelite Tribes were exiled some claim they assimilated into the surrounding cultures losing their identity. Eventually they and their relatives traveled further extending into new cultures such as United Kingdom, Europe, Scandinavia, North America, Australia and possibly Africa and Asia.
Organizations like Brit-Am, located in Israel, is one such movement which devotes itself to proving the religious tradition that the Ten Lost Tribes assimilated into the gentile culture and in the latter days will discover who they really are and return to Israel.
As a result, offering support and respect to Israel may not only be a Christian courtesy but a Christian duty in relation to the Lord's promise to Israel particularly in protecting Israel against the land grab by the descendants of Ishmael. Thus rejection of the Jews and Israel might be the very cause of the tribulations, turmoil, separation and plagues occurring in many churches, denominations and individual Christian lives.
