1. Extracts from Interview of Yair Davidiy for David's Star e-Magazine.
Kellen Davison puts out David's Star an online e-Magazine.
The latest issues deals with Brit-Am and related matters. It should be available within a few days. Details will follow.
Kellen interviewed Yair Davidiy.
Here are some extracts from the Interview:
================================
Q. How did you go about using the Bible, Talmud, and various libraries in Israel to identify Lost Tribes?
A. ... The Jewish sources confirm the literal understanding that the Lost Ten Tribes do exist and are indeed supposed to return. Rashi is a major commentator on the Bible and the Jewish sources, he is the foremost commentator in the rabbinical school of thought. In the Biblical book of Obadiah, Rashi mentions a place called Zarephath in the Hebrew, in verse 1:18-20, this [says Rashi] is referring to the Lost Ten Tribes that were dispersed to a kingdom called France.
Other rabbinical commentators expanded the concept of France to include the rest of Europe including Holland and the British Isles. I was convinced by the rabbinical commentaries on this verse that the Biblical Lost Tribes were amongst the Western peoples.
After that I began reading Hebrew and Aramaic translations of the Bible and rabbinical commentaries..... These findings were also confirmed by historical sources - archaeology, linguistics, mythology and so on which also point in the same direction. The historical, Biblical and rabbinical sources all intertwine with each other. ....
Q. Thoughts on DNA testing to identify Lost Tribes?
A. There are a lot of questions about DNA. Sometimes you look at DNA maps and they are too nice. They are too consistent with the geographical provenance of the people. For instance all the people of Ireland have the same genetic characteristics of Ireland, but we know that people from all over the world migrated to Ireland. It is hard to believe that all the people in Ireland have the same DNA.
You get exceptions which are also interesting. At least to a good degree of certainty they can say that this person is the son of this person and so on and so forth and is related to someone according to DNA. These DNA results prove themselves every day in court cases, people win money because of them, or go to jail because of them. There also could be an environmental factor for people that live in different regions impacted by different environmental conditions.
Q. Differences between you and Herbert Armstrong?
A. We agree mostly of what he asserts. The areas where we differ are tracing the British throne to Tea Tephi the princess traveling with Jeremiah. We do not accept this theory neither do we teach it. ... There is no proof that Jeremiah is the prince (or the wise man) and Tea Tephi the princess that the Irish legends wrote about. There is no proof that Jeremiah went to Ireland. Also the lineage of David should come down through the father. It would therefore not matter whether the daughter of a king of Israel was the ancestor of Irish or British monarchs or not.

2. Â JaredThaJa: Baldness of the Eagle in Micah 1:16 and the USA with Brit-Am Reply and Previous Comment on Source
Eagles have been symbols of Western Civilization going back to Greece and Rome. But the Bald Eagle specifically is an Animal found only in The New World.
That's why I find it interesting that the Hebrew Scriptures, in Micah 1:16 say "Make thee bald, and poll thee for thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee."
The Context of this Prophecy is about Judah and Samaria.

Brit-Am Reply:
We have dealt with this passage in the past from a slightly different angle,
see below:
Ends of the Earth and the US Eagle
http://www.britam.org/Proof/geo/geoEagleEnds.html
The Bald-Headed Eagle
A reference to World's ends is found in the following passage:
"I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back; bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ENDS OF THE EARTH" (Isaiah 43:6).
Concerning this verse the Midrash (Sifrei, Haazinu 32:11) links north country with the return of the exiles and an eagle, the symbol of the USA:
[Deuteronomy 32:11]
"AS AN EAGLE STIRRETH UP HER NEST, FLUTTERETH OVER HER YOUNG, SPREADETH ABROAD HER WINGS, TAKETH THEM, BEARETH THEM ON HER WINGS"
A bald-headed eagle is the symbol of the USA.
Micah chapter one tells of the prophecy that came to him CONCERNING SAMARIA AND JERUSALEM (1:1) meaning the Lost Ten Tribes and Judah.
He goes on to say:
[Micah 1:5]
"FOR THE TRANSGRESSION OF JACOB IS ALL THIS, AND FOR THE SINS OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL. WHAT IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF JACOB? IS IT NOT SAMARIA? AND WHAT ARE THE HIGH PLACES OF JUDAH? ARE THEY NOT JERUSALEM?"
Micah links Jacob with Samaria. Samaria was a major city in Manasseh and at one stage the capital of the entire Northern Kingdom. In Prophecy 'Samaria' represents the Lost Ten Tribes in their place of exile. Jacob is also linked with Samaria. The nickname Yank (American) derives from the Hebrew form of Jacob. Both Judah and Samaria are being warned here. Then warning is given to the townships of Aphrah (1:10), Saphir, Zanaan, and Bethezel (1:11), Maroth (1:12), Lachish (1:13), Oresheth-Gath, Achzib (1:14), Mareshah, and Adullam (1:16).
All of the above places appear to have belonged to either Benjamin or Judah. These all appear to be places whose inhabitants were exiled by the Assyrians and who joined the Ten Tribes in exile. The Lost Ten Tribes also include many from the southern tribes of Judah and Benjamin, just as Judah eventually included many from The Lost Ten Tribes.
There follows a reference to the baldness of an eagle:
[Micah 1:16]
"MAKE THEE BALD, AND POLL THEE FOR THY DELICATE CHILDREN; ENLARGE THY BALDNESS AS THE EAGLE; FOR THEY ARE GONE INTO CAPTIVITY FROM THEE".
<<ENLARGE THY BALDNESS AS THE EAGLE>> The bald-headed eagle is the symbol of the USA.
The eagle in Scripture in some cases can symbolize the enemies of Israel: (Deuteronomy 28:4, Habakkuk 1:8, Obadiah 1:4 Lamentations 4:19 Jeremiah 4:13 Jeremiah 49:16). Historically the eagle was the symbol of the Roman Empire, of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, of the German Reich, of Poland, and probably of other nations as well most of whom was much of the time antagonistic to the Jewish and Israelite peoples.
The eagle can also represent the Salvation of Israel, the righteous amongst the people of Israel, and their deliverance (Exodus 19:4 Deuteronomy 32:11 Isaiah 40:31).
The eagle is one of the four creatures in the chariot of Ezekiel (1:10).
Ezekiel, chapter 17, speaks of two eagles both representing aspects of the exile of Israel and Judah, or of Judah only.
At all events Micah 1:16 speaks of the baldness of the eagle in connection with the exile of townships of Judah, who were about to join the Lost Ten Tribes in Exile and be considered as part of them.
This is one indication amongst very many others and should be considered as part of the whole.

3. Brit-Am [Almost] On the Front Line in Israel
All of Israel is in the front line. We too. On Shabat a rocket was sent against Jerusalem within whose general area we are.
[Actually we are now in Beitar Ilit which is more the area of Biblical Bethlehem but for practical purposes we are considered as in the Jerusalem area.]
The warning siren was sounded, some took shelter, and the missile was exploded in the sky above us.
After the Shabat Arab rioters threw rocks at Jewish cars leaving our township.
This happens all over Israel.
In some places it is worse than others.
A friend in the Ashdod region (in the south) described her general feeling as being bombed. In her area the bombardment has been the worse.
I have children and grandchildren in the south and in other parts of Israel but so far have not heard of anything out of the ordinary.
One of my sons is liable to be called up. Another two are constantly in proximity to Arab populations and have to be alert.
I am too old to be compelled to serve in the IDF but in a pinch probably could do something.
Apart from that we are not unduly worried. Neither is anyone else BUT anything could happen.
Not only could anything happen BUT in this country it often does.
The number of rockets fired at Israel in the latest confrontation has been numbered as 800! (sic. AP report).
Every day, every hour, miracles happen BUT now and again harm is also done.
This morning a rocket landed in the unoccup[ied space between two occupied houses.
We may be under a warning.
As for Brit-Am at present,
Even though the war in as sense is going on all around us we are more occupied with other matters that in the long run may prove just as, or even more, important.
