It was prophesied that Simeon (like Levi) would be scattered amongst the other tribes (Genesis 49:7):
Genesis 49:
5 Simeon and Levi are brothers;
weapons of violence are their swords.
6 May I never come into their council;
may I not be joined to their company
for in their anger they killed a man,
and at their whim they hamstrung a bull.
7 Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce,
and their wrath, for it is cruel!
I will divide them in Jacob,
and scatter them in Israel.
Simeon and Levi had wiped out all the males in the city of Schechem (Genesis 34:25) after the local prince had raped and abused their sister (Genesis 34:2). Jacob had been displeased with the way Simeon and Levi had taken revenge (Genesis 34:30).
Later Simeon and Levi and the other brothers of Joseph had seized him, thrown him in a pit, and then sold him to an Ishmaelite merchant caravan going to Egypt. Joseph was represented by a bull (Deuteronomy 33:17).
He is the bull the brothers hamstrung. By a process of elimination the Sages learnt that Simeon must have been the one who initiated the plot against Joseph. That was why when they came to Egypt Joseph had Simeon seized and incarcerated (Genesis 42:24).
The Tribe of Simeon had been located south of Judah. Nevertheless archaeological evidence indicates that Simeon had been under the hegemony of the northern Kingdom. Simeon is listed amongst the tribal territories whose inhabitants had been exiled and which King Josiah of Judah later purified (2-Chronicles 34:6).
Many from Simeon remained with Judah. Also the Khazars had a tradition that they at least were partly from the Tribe of Simeon and they probably reconnected with Judah.
Nevertheless most of Simeon evidently was exiled with the Ten tribes. Enclaves from Simeon were to be found spread among the other tribes as prophesied.

Proverbs 20:
1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler,
and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.
Brit-Am Rendition:
Scoffing is the wine, strong drink a ruckus maker,
All who stray through it will not gain wisdom.
Comment:
The Sages said that small amounts of wine may be efficacious but drunkenness should be avoided.
Women especially should avoid alcohol.

2 The dread anger of a king is like the growling of a lion;
anyone who provokes him to anger forfeits life itself.

Like the growling of a young lion should the awe of the king be,
Whosoever trangresses it forfeits his life.

3 It is honourable to refrain from strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel.
Brit-Am Rendition:
It is honorable for a man to refrain from quarrelling,
but every feckless fool exposes his own vulnerability.
Comment: When one quarrels and becomes angry it is common to loose control.
When is then liable to say or do things you would not want to and to pay dearly afterwards.
The common theme of the above three verses seems to be that one should endeavor to remain master of onesef.
Do not take drink or drugs etc that cause you to act as you would not usually want to.
Do not provoke someone who is more powerful than you especially not whom you are obliged to obey.
Do not put yourself in situations where you are liable to loose control of yourself and therefore of what happens afterwards.
