1. Rabbinical Historiography
An Article in our series on Chronological Revision
http://hebrewnations.com/articles/16/chronology/jtime.html
Contents:
1. Introduction
2. TIMELINE OF JEWISH HISTORY Extract from Rabbi Ken Spiro
3. Extract from Dr. Chaim S. Heifetz's Revision of Persian History by Brad Aaronson
Extracts:
Conventionally the Ten Tribes were exiled in ca. 730-722 BCE. The Midrash Seder Olam places it in about 555 BCE. ...
The main problem is dating the length of the Persian Empire.
Conventional History lists 10 Persian Kings over a space of 208 years.
Rabbinical dating of the Sages ("Chazal") says there were only 4 Persian Kings whose combined reigns lasted 52 years.

2. Hebrew Month of Cheshvan: Mannaseh
Friday 24 October, 2014 is the 30th Tishrei, 5775. This is followed by Saturday (Sabath) 25 October, 2014 is the 1st of Cheshvan.
There are two days this year for the New Month Day. The practice of occasionally celebrating 2 days on the New Month is recorded from the time of King Saul and David.
1 Samuel 20:
24 So David hid himself in the field. When the new moon came, the king sat at the feast to eat. 25The king sat upon his seat, as at other times, upon the seat by the wall. Jonathan stood, while Abner sat by Saul's side; but David's place was empty.
26 Saul did not say anything that day; for he thought, 'Something has befallen him; he is not clean, surely he is not clean.'
27But on the second day, the day after the new moon, David's place was empty. And Saul said to his son Jonathan, 'Why has the son of Jesse not come to the feast, either yesterday or today?'
Cheshvan (pronounced similarly to Heshvan) is also called Marcheshvan.
According to Fishel Mael the most accepted opinion (of the Gra and the Arizal) attributes Cheshvan to the Tribe of Manasseh.
Other opinions ascribe the month to the Tribe of Asaher (Midrash Peliah) or to Dan (Rabad.

3. New Book Online. Two Nations that Changed the World. America & Britain. Their Biblical Origin and Prophetic Destiny
By Philip Neal

This is a new work, recommended by Craig White who helped put it together. It is available in.pdf form on the Internet.
I only managed to skim through part of it.
Here are a few impressions.
The book has a very heavy Christian emphasis in some sections.
It seems well written and well presented.
It presents the Classical Biblical and research material associated with W.H. Armstrong, Herman Hoeh, Craig White, etc. It also quotes from Yair Davidiy.
It goes through the Blessings to the forefathers and other Biblical sources. These are always worth re-reading and reminding ourselves of and the author does this quite well.
A chapter on the failure of Christianity in Britain and America has some statistics worth noting.
A chapter on China.
A chapter considering (without drawing definite conclusions) identifying the US with Ephraim instead of Manasseh as we do.
Apart from that their Tribal identifications are the same as ours.
We hope to read it through later and perhaps give more impressions about it.
