1. Message of Interest from Sweden.
Hello. I am an amateur researcher and author of Christian literature here in Sweden. Your research on the origins of us Scandinavians is extraordinarily interesting, we have a constant discussion and debate here in Sweden on this topic. Our Kings and nobles, year 800 to 1500 AD have a Rose of David / and French lilies on their tombstones, a King Birger Jarl has a red filled circle on his forehead depictions on pillars in his burial church in Varnhem Monastery which is in the center of West Gotaland nearby Skara City. Something that bothers historical researchers at the universities in our capital Stockholm.
Thanks and Regards
Mr. Dag Rimmerfor, SWEDEN.

2. More Interest from Scandinavia. Scythian Connections.
Hi, I'm researching the relationship between the Scandinavian gods (Asarna) and the disappeared tribes from Israel. I have read the website http:/britam.org  and http://hebrewnations.com/. There is much to suggest a grain of truth in the research that Mr. Yair Davidiy has concluded...  I am an amateur researcher who is looking for my ancestors and we need an explanation for the archaeological finds that exist here in the Nordic countries, - the one who has no roots will soon fall over." Do you have any answers through DNA that can explain the wings of history?  .... we have found a lot with a Scythian connection here in Sweden, for example the King's Tomb in Kivik, the great Bronze Age treasure in Alingsas among other things.

Why do the Israeli carry different Y-DNA haplogroups (A, E, G, I, J, N, R, T, etc.) if they all descended from one father (Jacob/12 tribes of Israel)?

How do we know that Y-DNA haplogroups and mitochondrial DNA haplogroups have not been influenced by transposons?

Y-DNA haplogroups are associated with males.

Mitochondrial DNA is linked to females.

Transposons are segments of DNA that move from one host to another whether within species or between them. They have been compared to viruses. In some cases their effects are negative but in others they fulfill a need.

Whether or not DNA haplogroups have been influenced by them is one question. It would explained how haplogroups may change. Haplogroups change when additional branches are added on to them.
The determinants of haplogroups are not related to known physical functions. Their distribution often corresponds to limited geographical areas. Since these regions are populated by peoples presumed to be of related stocks with common ancestors it is assumed that the Haplogroups are also inherited from ancient times and not superimposed on existing populations. Haplogroup determinants are inherited but not associated with other known known traits. In other words haplogroups could change and everything else remain the same.

In Theory how could this influence what we know concerning the Lost Ten Tribes, the present-day Jews, and related matters?

Roughly speaking the Jewish male DNA is dominated by Haplogroups E-M35 (E1b1b1) 20%, G 7%, J1 20%, J2 24%, Q 5%, R1a 10%, R1b 10%.
Among Jews were find the sub-group of Cohens (descendants of Aharon brother of Moses) with ca. 80% J with half of this J1 and the other half J2 with J2 slightly predominant.
Cohens are considered to be part of the Tribe of Levi but Levi in Europe was dominated by R1a whereas among North African Jews it was E1b !

Conventionally ancient Jews are presumed to be a composite of E1b1b1, J1, J2 and others.

One study of Palestinians showed that|:
# The majority of Palestinian Christians (31.82%) were a subclade of E1b1b, followed by G2a (11.36%), and J1 (9.09%). The majority of Palestinian Muslims were haplogroup J1 (37.82%) followed by E1b1b (19.33%), and T (5.88%, east African). #

Jews, Kurds, and Turks were similar to each other. They had more J2 than J1 whereas Arabs and Palestinians had more J1.
J1 is associated more with Arabs.

Armenians before the advent of DNA criteria were often considered racially related to Jews due to common inherited traits (e.g. sicknesses) found in both of them.
Armenian DNA was 24 to 30% R1b with R1b being the dominant haplogroup. Others included ca. 5% R1a and 5% E1b.

R1a is common to Northern Areas especially Slavic regions. It is related to R1b.

The age of DNA haplogroups is estimated according to the degree of complexity involved. The older it is the more complex it becomes.

The only real difference between J and R1b is the number of branches added on to it.. J has a low number, R1b a high number.
The difference in number may be due to environmental or other existential exigencies.

The commonly accepted assumption is that R1b originated in Anatolia north of Syria.
At that time it was often associated with J especially J2. Where the one was found so was the other.
After that R1b moved to the west and now predominates in Western Europe as well as in parts of Equatorial Africa.

Wikipedia tells us concerning R1b:
# It is the most frequently occurring paternal lineage in Western Europe, as well as some parts of Russia (e.g. the Bashkirs) and across the Sahel in Central Africa, namely: Cameroon, Chad, Guinea, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Nigeria and Senegal (concentrated in parts of Chad with concentration in the Hausa Tribe and among the Chadic-speaking ethnic groups of Cameroon). #

This is consistent with much of R1b now in Western Europe being newly imposed (relatively speaking) on populations at least some which originated in the Middle East.

Genesis (NIV) 28:
18 EARLY THE NEXT MORNING JACOB TOOK THE STONE HE HAD PLACED UNDER HIS HEAD AND SET IT UP AS A PILLAR AND POURED OIL ON TOP OF IT.
19 HE CALLED THAT PLACE BETHEL, THOUGH THE CITY USED TO BE CALLED LUZ.
20 THEN JACOB MADE A VOW, SAYING, IF GOD WILL BE WITH ME AND WILL WATCH OVER ME ON THIS JOURNEY I AM TAKING AND WILL GIVE ME FOOD TO EAT AND CLOTHES TO WEAR
21 SO THAT I RETURN SAFELY TO MY FATHERS HOUSEHOLD, THEN THE LORD WILL BE MY GOD
22 AND THIS STONE THAT I HAVE SET UP AS A PILLAR WILL BE GODS HOUSE, AND OF ALL THAT YOU GIVE ME I WILL GIVE YOU A TENTH.

MALACHI 3:
10 BRING ALL THE TITHES INTO THE STOREHOUSE,
THAT THERE MAY BE FOOD IN MY HOUSE,
AND TRY ME NOW IN THIS,
SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS,
'IF I WILL NOT OPEN FOR YOU THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN
AND POUR OUT FOR YOU SUCH BLESSING
THAT THERE WILL NOT BE ROOM ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT.

Proverbs 3:
9 HONOR THE LORD WITH YOUR WEALTH
AND WITH THE FIRST OF ALL YOUR PRODUCE,
10 SO YOUR BARNS WILL BE FILLED WITH ABUNDANCE,
AND YOUR VATS WILL BURST OPEN WITH NEW WINE.
