Commentary "Ha-Emek Davar" on Genesis 28:3:
Genesis (TCT) 28:
3 AND MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD BLESS YOU AND MAKE YOU FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY YOU, AND YOU SHALL BECOME AN ASSEMBLY (Hebrew: "Kahal") OF PEOPLES (Hebrew: "Amim").
Commentary "Ha-Emek Davar" on Genesis 28:3:
# "Kahal" means Ten as explained in the Talmud (Ketubot, 7;b), and "Amim" (Peoples) means those who are recognizable by their unique customs as
entities on their own recognition... meaning to say that the offspring of Jacob should be 10 peoples.
[This is referring to the Ten Trbies as distinct from Judah and Benjamin.]
i.e. each Tribe would have its own custom and leader. They would all be different from each other.
Only the Tribes of Benjamin and Judah would have one leader (for both together), and Levi would be scattered among the other Tribes.
And the Tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh would have one king over the both of them, i.e. a community (commonwealth) of peoples.
(This King would be subservient to the King of Judah and Benjamin, i.e. of the House of David).#
Nevertheless over all the Tribes together there was supposed to be only one Torah and one King.
Note:
All Israelite nations have some degree of non-Israelite populations amongst them. In some cases they may be in the majority or close to it.
The Commentator Rashi (1040 -1105) on Obadiah 1:20 says that the Lost Ten Tribes came to France. Elsewhere however he identifies France with Edom.
The term "Edom" (i.e. Esau) could also be used as generic name for all Christendom.

Many were killed on the spot or nearby. These counted for possibly more than half of those slain. The total dead disposed exceeded 6 million which gave opportunity and room for varied experimentation and learning along the way. It was a massive stream-lined operation involving manpower, organization, utilization of resources, and dedication
About 2 million were killed in Auschwitz and another 4 million elsewhere. Auschwitz was both an extermination camp and a Concentration Camp. It was attached to factories and a major industrial area using slave labor. Out of those being killed in Auschwitz a few were kept alive to work in factories and work shops.

Jews in the west needed to be taken away and eliminated out of sight. Some degree of deniability was required at least at the beginning. They who preferred not to know among the German civilian population, with a bit of effort, did not have to be forced to do so. - At least not at first though later Goebbels tried to make all Germans aware of it.
The victims also needed to be dehumanized. So they were packed into trains like sardines and sent to camps. In the camps a selection process took place. In the beginning most were killed immediately though others were kept alive for a while in order to squeeze out of them some value while the mass executions continued.
Further east when the Germans first arrived much of the killing took place straight away. This caused problems. Chris Bast in his own answer to this question, has pointed out that killing masses of Jews on the spot affected the Germans resulting in "a MASSIVE drop in discipline and morale among the soldiers tasked with carrying out these killings. Alcohol consumption went through the roof, along with all the problems associated with it."
Not to be deferred, the Germans therefore instituted a regimented process of mass execution. This was found to more efficient and less harmful to the processors. The chosen option encompassed a systematic disciplined induction, selection, stripping of clothes, gassing, and disposing of the bodies -
All of which took place under a thin veneer of regulation were fueled by a barely concealed feeling of urgency and mass hysteria.
