2. How did Yair deal with Pesach (Passover)?
Mark wrote:
Shalom Yair,
Could you share your personal experience with removing Chametz (leaven flour products) before
Pesach? I've read the articles on Chabad.org but I'm just curious to
hear how the process unfolds practically.

Shalom,
It is customary to go to extremes on Pesach (Passover). Since I at present live alone however I suffice with a relative minimum.
I live in a one and a half room apartment with a moderately-sized (by Israeli standards) large patio. Part of my family lives nearby so they came over with all the kids. They made an outing of it, had a good time, and helped me tremendously.
Everything was wiped clean, dusted down, mopped, cupboards cleaned out, refrigerator cleaned, etc.
I have a lot of books that did not really need to be cleaned but we cleaned and dusted off a good portion of them anyway.
Many people use metal veneers for the kitchen sinks, etc., but I merely poured boiling water over the sinks after they had been scrubbed clean.
All food that was truly hametz had been deliberately consumed before hand.
Food items that were not specially Kosher for Pesach were stored away not to be touched.
I have sets of separate utensils, cooking pots, etc. that I keep in storage for Pesach and these were taken out.
Some people use their regular all-year round utensils but boil or scorch them for Pesach use. In the past I too would do that but nowadays prefer to keep in storage a separate set of everything designated only for Pesach.
The regular non-Pesach items that I use all year round were all set aside in separate sequestered places.
Kosher food supplies for Pesach were acquired in advance to avoid leaving out something that is needed.
And that is about it.
Note: The above was my own personal application of the customs and laws. Many Religious Jews in some of the details are more strict.
Chabad in their person-to-person encounters are quite liberal and out going but they tend to make up for it by being stricter on some points than they perhaps need to be.
HaShem be with you.

3. Reuven Chaim Klein : English word similar to Hebrew. PAZAZ.
Beitar Illit, Israel
Rabbi Shlomo Pappenheim in Cheshek Shlomo traces both of those terms to the biliteral PEH-ZAYIN (PZ), whose core meaning he defines as "quick movement" (both in the same of "dancing" and "shining").
The English word pizzaz/pizazz ("sparkle," "showiness," "glamor") seems to have been coined in the 1930s and Oxford English Dictionary notes that this word is of unknown origin. I wonder if perhaps the word is based on the Hebrew mifazez...
[word root: PZZ].

4. Request for End-Times Time Table.
Dear Brit Am,
With what event do the end times begin with?
What does Chronologically happen event by event in the end times till the end of the world?
So event 1... event 2.. etc with bible verses etc.
With kind regards,
Matteo

Brit-Am Reply.
We may already be in the End Times right now. OR it might take a little more time.
We are now trying to go back over the sources with commentaries etc.
It is hoped that we may soon begin to send out a series of reliable articles on the subject.
God be with you

5. New Hebrew Month of Iyar Coming up.
On the 28th and 29th of April, 2025, the New Hebrew Month of Iyar will appear.
Major opinions (HaGra and Ha-Arizal) attribute this month to the Tribe of Issachar.
Others say Reuben (Midrash Peliah) or Simeon (Rabad).
For excerpts concerning the month of Iyar and/or the Tribe of Issachar.

The Children of Issachar traditionally had the task of determining the Hebrew Calendar which involved astronomical calculations while taking account of agricultural seasons and community convenience: There were certain days when celebrating a feast day would have disrupted the public so these days had to be avoided yet chronological and solar-seasonal consistency maintained. He was symbolized by a donkey. He was born when his mother, Leah, "hired" her husband from Rachel for the night. The name Issachar is derived from the root "sachar" meaning "hiring" and this embodies aspects of the Characteristics of Issachar.
We find Issachar mainly in Finland and Switzerland as well as some also in Judah.

7. Psalm (TCT) 100:
1 A SONG FOR A THANKSGIVING OFFERING. SHOUT TO THE LORD, ALL THE EARTH.
2 SERVE THE LORD WITH JOY, COME BEFORE HIM WITH PRAISE.
3 KNOW THAT THE LORD IS GOD; HE MADE US AND WE ARE HIS, PEOPLE AND THE FLOCK OF HIS PASTURE.
4 COME INTO HIS GATES WITH THANKSGIVING, [INTO] HIS COURTYARDS WITH PRAISE; GIVE THANKS TO HIM, BLESS HIS NAME.
5 FOR THE LORD IS GOOD; HIS KINDNESS IS FOREVER, AND UNTIL GENERATION AFTER GENERATION IS HIS FAITH.

Jacob (aka Israel) Kept the Law of Tithing: Jacob linked his tithing to a Return to the House of his Father. We can do the same.
Genesis (NIV) 28:
18 EARLY THE NEXT MORNING JACOB TOOK THE STONE HE HAD PLACED UNDER HIS HEAD AND SET IT UP AS A PILLAR AND POURED OIL ON TOP OF IT.
19 HE CALLED THAT PLACE BETHEL, THOUGH THE CITY USED TO BE CALLED LUZ.
20 THEN JACOB MADE A VOW, SAYING, IF GOD WILL BE WITH ME AND WILL WATCH OVER ME ON THIS JOURNEY I AM TAKING AND WILL GIVE ME FOOD TO EAT AND CLOTHES TO WEAR
21 SO THAT I RETURN SAFELY TO MY FATHERS HOUSEHOLD, THEN THE LORD WILL BE MY GOD
22 AND THIS STONE THAT I HAVE SET UP AS A PILLAR WILL BE GODS HOUSE, AND OF ALL THAT YOU GIVE ME I WILL GIVE YOU A TENTH.
MALACHI 3:
10 BRING ALL THE TITHES INTO THE STOREHOUSE,
THAT THERE MAY BE FOOD IN MY HOUSE,
AND TRY ME NOW IN THIS,
SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS,
'IF I WILL NOT OPEN FOR YOU THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN
AND POUR OUT FOR YOU SUCH BLESSING
THAT THERE WILL NOT BE ROOM ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT.
Proverbs 3:
9 HONOR THE LORD WITH YOUR WEALTH
AND WITH THE FIRST OF ALL YOUR PRODUCE,
10 SO YOUR BARNS WILL BE FILLED WITH ABUNDANCE,
AND YOUR VATS WILL BURST OPEN WITH NEW WINE.
