The Letter 'I'
The English Letter 'I' is the equivalent of the Hebrew Letter YUD. This letter, yud, may also be equated with the letter Y depending on its placement in the word and the euphonics involved.
 IS and ESAU.
Beware of Replacement Theology
The English Word "IS" is defined as third person singular present indicative of 'BE.' In Hebrew we have the word "ASEH"  from the root A-S-H. This gives us "aseh"  meaning "do, make." In verbal form it can become "ya-as". In Hebrew verbal sounds are quite fluid so that "as" could easily have been rendered as "as" or as "es", or as "is."
This is also the root of the name "Esau"  connoting "done," or "already made." Esau was the twin-brother of Jacob,. Ancestor of the Edomites with all their offshoots, and arch-enemy of Israel.

 Genesis 25: 26 NOW THE FIRST CAME FORTH RED, ALL OVER LIKE A HAIRY GARMENT; AND THEY NAMED HIM ESAU.

Esau gave us the Celtic god "Esus." According to Jacques Martin, 1727, the Greek deity "Zeus" is identical to the Celtic Esus. The Romans adopted the Greek Pantheon. They renamed "Zeus" with the names "Jupiter" and "Jove." The name JOVE was a permutation of the four-lettered inexpressible name of the Hebrew God. cf.

Jonah 1: 9 HE [Jonah] SAID TO THEM, I AM A HEBREW, AND I FEAR THE LORD GOD OF HEAVEN WHO MADE THE SEA AND THE DRY LAND.

Some of  the early founders of Roman founders were descendants of Esau, otherwise known as "Edom," from Mount Seir. By re-naming their god after the name known to the Hebrews they were attempting to appropriate to themselves the Hebrew Birthright as the Chosen People.
This may be considered an early example of Replacement Theology. This is the attempt to replace Israel or the Jews as the Chosen People and place some other entity in their stead.
The Catholic Church at one stage taught such a doctrine.
Some Christian Churches still teach it.
It is also preached by certain Identity Groups who hate the Jews and try to claim that they are the true Israelites whereas the Jews (they say) are not.
Those of us who believe that the Ten Tribes in some measure are now to be found among Western Peoples need to be on our guard not to become associated with Replacement Theology people and their ilk.
These reprobates give us all a bad name and spread poison instead of life.

Brit-Am Reply:

One group (that gave rise to the Nazis) appear to be descended from Esau the twin-brother of Israel while the Arabs derive from Ishmael son of Abraham. Both had reasons of their own to hate and resent descendants of Israel.

The Nazis most likely were predominantly descendant of Esau also known as Edom. He was displaced in the inheritance by Jacob (also known as Israel) forefather of the Jews. We know their probable ancestry from Esau since descendants of Edom settled in Europe and especially Germany. They may not have been the majority but they had a significant presence. Attributes of the Nazis and of Nazi types are those pertinent to Esau.

Attributes of Esau are military prowess, intellectual abilities, relative affluence, a tendency to follow 'leaders' rather than hereditary heads or otherwise appointed directors, and a peculiarly acerbic resentment of Jews, along with other traits all of which were to be found among the Nazis.

Jacob and Esau were different from the beginning.

Genesis 25:27 SO THE BOYS GREW. AND ESAU WAS A SKILLFUL HUNTER, A MAN OF THE FIELD; BUT JACOB WAS A MILD MAN, DWELLING IN TENTS.

We learn the ethnic qualities of Esau from the blessing given him by Isaac:

Genesis (NKJV) 27:
38 AND ESAU SAID TO HIS FATHER, "HAVE YOU ONLY ONE BLESSING, MY FATHER? BLESS ME, ME ALSO, O MY FATHER!" AND ESAU LIFTED UP HIS VOICE AND WEPT.
39 THEN ISAAC HIS FATHER ANSWERED AND SAID TO HIM:
"BEHOLD, YOUR DWELLING SHALL BE OF THE FATNESS OF THE EARTH,
AND OF THE DEW OF HEAVEN FROM ABOVE.
40 BY YOUR SWORD YOU SHALL LIVE,
AND YOU SHALL SERVE YOUR BROTHER;
AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, WHEN YOU BECOME RESTLESS,
THAT YOU SHALL BREAK HIS YOKE FROM YOUR NECK."

From the above we see relative richness and military prowess associated with Esau. Esau was born red and hairy (Genesis 25:25) which could indicate a Caucasian type phenotype.

The people of Teman, an offshoot of Esau, were known for their wisdom (Jeremiah 49:7) i.e. intellectual aptitude.
The Rulers of Edom were known as "Elufim" (Genesis ch. 36) i.e. "Leaders." This was unique to them, cf. the Fuhrer Principle in Germany.

Esau sold his birthright to Jacob (Genesis 25:29). Later Jacob disguised himself as Esau and by subterfuge took for himself the Blessings of their father Isaac that had been intended for Esau (Genesis ch.27). After that Esau plotted to kill Jacob (Genesis 27:41).

The Sages traced Esau to Rome and Germany (Talmud, Megillah 6).

The Sages also traced Esau to other areas such as Thrace and Tyre of Phoenicia from which areas we find Ethnic Names recalling Esau and trace migrations to Germany.

Wodin (Odin) the German god in the view of Jung was a Prototype of Hitler, Naziism, and Germany. Odin was also known in Germany as "Kos." This is also the name the Ancient Edomites of Idumea used for their chief god and may be a dialectical pronunciation of the name Esau.

The religion of Wodin is considered a development of the cult of Essus a Celtic idol in Gaul. The name "Essus" is similar to variant forms of the name "Esau." The Celtic goddess "Ros Merta" whose worship was also found in West Germany has a name meaning "Edom (The Red One) the Magnificent." Ros Merta was the consort of Mercury considered a precursor of Odin. The name "Odin" itself may be derived from Edom.

The Anglo-Saxon poem Widsith records the presence of the Idumingas in the region of the Baltic coast in the east whence the tribe of Suevi moved into Germany. The name "Iduminga" is a form of the name Edom. Also this German Tribal name "Suevi" may be derived from Esau, pronounced in Hebrew as 'Eisav.' Later Latin sources place a people named YDUMAE (cf. "Edom"), in this same region of Livonia (Prussia, Latvia, and Lithuania) and Estonia.

The Arabs descend from Ishmael or at least a decisive element among their leading elites do. Both Arab and Jewish traditions confirm this and their traditional lifestyle and value -system is that prophesied concerning Ishmael.

11 AND THE ANGEL OF THE LORD SAID TO HER:

Ishmael - Wikipedia: According to Muslim tradition, Ishmael the Patriarch and his mother Hagar are buried next to the Kaaba in Mecca.

ISHMAEL IS RECOGNIZED AS AN IMPORTANT PROPHET AND PATRIARCH OF ISLAM. MUSLIMS BELIEVE THAT ISHMAEL WAS THE FIRSTBORN OF ABRAHAM, BORN TO HIM FROM HIS SECOND WIFE HAGAR. ISHMAEL IS RECOGNIZED BY MUSLIMS AS THE ANCESTOR OF SEVERAL PROMINENT ARAB TRIBES AND THE FOREFATHER OF MUHAMMAD. MUSLIMS ALSO BELIEVE THAT MUHAMMAD WAS THE DESCENDANT OF ISHMAEL WHO WOULD ESTABLISH A GREAT NATION, AS PROMISED BY GOD IN THE OLD TESTAMENT.

Ishmael was the son of Abraham and Hagar the maidservant of Sarah. After that Abraham begat Isaac from Sarah. Hagar the maidservant and her son Ishmael were expelled. In a sense Isaac displaced Ishmael. After that Isaac begat Jacob and Esau. The firstborn was Esau but Jacob displaced him.

Jacob was renamed Israel (Genesis 32:28, 35:10). He begat 12 sons who became the 12 Tribes of Israel. The entity of Judah gave rise to the Jewish People. They are the only section of the Israelite nations that has remained true to its Israelite heritage and recognizable as such.

Both Esau and Ishmael have reason to resent the Jews of Judah descendants of Jacob. This is a sub-conscious phenomenon permeating the national instincts of the parties involved.

It turns out, forgotten Jewish ancestry among Southern Italian isn't so far-fetched. Officially, the Inquisition expelled the tens of thousands of Jews - up to 50 percent of the population in some areas. from Sicily, Calabria and the rest of Spanish-controlled southern Italy back in the 1500s.
Most southern Italian Jewish converts to Christianity eventually lost their faith, but many have passed down traditions, the meaning of which has been lost over time.

Just because someone had ancestors who were Jewish does not mean they are now Jews.
Also they may have been pagans before becoming Jewish.
Nevertheless, Jewish Ancestry has significance.
