2. New Month of Shevat.
18 January 2036 on sundown begins the Hebrew New Month of Shevat.
The name Shevet may also be spelt as "Shebet."

The name Shevet in Hebrew can mean branch, staff, or tribe.
The book, "Shivtei Yisroel" by Fishel Mael, says that the Month of Shevet is that of the Tribe of Asher.
This is according to the GRA (Eliyahu of Vilna) and the Ari whose opinions are considered the most authoritative.
Others say it is the month of Benjamin (Midrash Peliah).
This month is said to possess qualities of renewal and rejuvenation.

3. S.R. Hirsch: The Task of Ephraim.
S.R. Hirsch (1808-1888) on Genesis 48:19 says:
# The descendants of Ephraim will complement the Tribes of Israel. They shall be their weapons of war towards outsiders... His descendants will supplement what is lacking in the external affairs of the other Tribes. The dreaded awe of Ephraim shall be on the other nations. The Ephraimites shall intensify the power of the Tribes and be their Force of Arms against foreigners... #
# The Kingdom of Ephraim was similar in its characteristics to a non-Jewish polity. .. #
Genesis 49:26
# The House of Joseph and the House of Judah, according to the Prophets, encompass all the Israelite People...
# We have a tradition that in the Last days there shall arise an heir to the House of Joseph to prepare the ground for a chosen scion from the House of Judah :

1 A SONG OF ASCENTS. WHEN THE LORD RETURNS THE RETURNEES TO ZION, WE SHALL BE LIKE DREAMERS.
2 THEN OUR MOUTHS WILL BE FILLED WITH LAUGHTER AND OUR TONGUES WITH SONGS OF PRAISE; THEN THEY WILL SAY AMONG THE NATIONS, "THE LORD HAS DONE GREAT THINGS WITH THESE."
3 "THE LORD HAS DONE GREAT THINGS WITH US; WE WERE HAPPY."
4 RETURN, O LORD, OUR CAPTIVITY LIKE RIVULETS IN ARID LAND.
5 THOSE WHO SOW WITH TEARS WILL REAP WITH SONG.
6 HE WILL GO ALONG WEEPING, CARRYING THE VALUABLE SEEDS; HE WILL COME BACK WITH SONG, CARRYING HIS SHEAVES.

CC Subtitles Edited. The Lost Ten Tribes separated from Judah and his associates. They were conquered and exiled. Eventually they moved to the north and west and became completely paganized and alienated from their origins. Nevertheless, this was in fulfillment of Prophecy. They had a task of their own to fulfill. Once this was done they will be enabled to return to their original station.
