Isaiah 49:6 speaks of the Tribes of Jacob being at the ends of the earth.
This refers tot he geographic extremities.
Isaiah 49:
6 IT IS TOO SMALL A THING THAT YOU SHOULD BE MY SERVANT
TO RAISE UP THE TRIBES OF JACOB,
AND TO RESTORE THE PRESERVED ONES OF ISRAEL;
I WILL ALSO GIVE YOU AS A LIGHT TO THE GENTILES,
THAT YOU SHOULD BE MY SALVATION TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH.

January 1945. Snow blanketed Germany. The Battle of the Bulge had just ended in the deadliest American fight of World War II. Thousands of young U.S. soldiers, many barely old enough to shave, had been captured and forced on brutal marches to prison camps deep inside Nazi territory.
Stalag IX-A stood near Ziegenhain {Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany] Barbed wire. Guard towers. ... Among them was Master Sergeant Roddie Edmonds, twenty-five years old, from Knoxville, Tennessee. He was the highest-ranking non-commissioned officer among the Americans, responsible for 1,275 prisoners, most of them scared, exhausted boys trying to survive until the war's end.
Then came the order.
Major Siegmann, the camp commandant and an ardent Nazi, issued a directive: at the next morning's roll call, all Jewish American prisoners were to identify themselves and step forward.
Everyone understood what that meant. This was not paperwork. Jews separated from camps did not return. Even POWs knew the stories. ...
Some Jewish soldiers prepared to comply, hoping to spare others from retaliation. The Nazis had punished defiance before. Refusal meant beatings, starvation, death.
But Edmonds decided otherwise.
That night, as whispers spread through freezing barracks, he gathered the men and gave an order that passed from bunk to bunk:
"Tomorrow morning, every man steps forward. All of us."
Instead, all 1,275 Americans stood forward in formation.
Siegmann exploded with rage and stormed toward Edmonds. "They cannot all be Jews!"
Edmonds stood rigid, calm. "We are all Jews here."
The camp went silent.
Siegmann drew his Luger and pressed it to Edmonds forehead. "Order them out, ...or I will shoot you now."
Edmonds did not move. "Under the Geneva Convention,.. we only give name, rank, and serial number. If you shoot me, you'll have to shoot all of us. And after the war, you will be tried for war crimes."
Slowly, the pistol lowered. Siegmann turned and walked away.
Two hundred Jewish soldiers lived because 1,275 men refused to let them stand alone.
The war ended months later. Edmonds returned to Tennessee. He married, raised children, sold mobile homes. He never told the story. Not once.
He died in 1985. His son learned the truth years later by tracking down survivors. They remembered everything.
In 2015, Yad Vashem honored Roddie Edmonds as Righteous Among the Nations, the only American soldier ever to receive that title.

Among these Tribes was that of Zebulon. Descendants of Zebulon were to become prominent in the Netherlands.
Tribes Names in these areas are similar to those of Ancient Israel.
