I think this has implications for your work. If events less than a thousand years ago can be so badly misinterpreted, how much more so events that are nearly 3x older? Just as the myth of the doomed, but heroic march from Yorkshire to the south coast of England so too the myth of the minimalist exile.

1 A SONG OF ASCENTS. THOSE WHO TRUST IN THE LORD ARE LIKE MOUNT ZION, WHICH WILL NOT FALTER BUT WILL ABIDE FOREVER.
