Hosea One

The Whoredoms of Israel. Rough Translation by Yair

Hosea. Chapter One:
1 The word of the LORD [YHVH]  which was to Hoshea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Yotham, Ahaz,  Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Yeroboam  son of Yoash, king of Israel.

2 Beginning the speech of the LORD [YHVH] to Hoshea.
The LORD [YHVH]  said to Hosea,
'Take for yourself a woman of whoredom and have children of whoredom; for the land commits utter whoredom, leaving The LORD [YHVH]' .

 3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim [Consummation daughter of Coupling], and she conceived and bore him a son.

4 And the LORD [YHVH]  said to him, 'Call his name him Yezreel [God will Scatter]; for yet a little while, and I will visit the blood of Yizreel upon the House of Yehu, and I will cause to cease the Rulership of the House of Yisrael.

5 It will be that on that day I will break the bow of Yisrael in the Valley of Yezreel'.

6 And she conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. And it was said to him, 'Call  her name ''Lo-  Ruhamah [Not Beloved]' ", for I will not continue any more to love [have mercy upon] the House of  Yisrael, that I should surely forgive them.
7 But the House of  Yehudah will be shown compassion  and I shall deliver them by  the LORD [YHVH] their God, and I will not deliver them by bow, and [not] by sword, and [not] by war, and [not] by horses or and [not]  by cavalry.'

8 And she  weaned Lo- Ruhamah, and she conceived and gave birth to a son.

9 And  the  LORD [YHVH]  said, 'Call his name him  Lo-ammi [Not My People], for you are not My people and I am not be for you.'

10  And the number of the Children of Yisrael
Shall be like the sand of the sea,
Which is not measurable nor numbered;
And in the place where it is said to them,
'Not My People,'
It shall be said to them,
'Sons of the Living God [El].'

11 And shall be gathered together the Children of  Yehudah and the Children of  Yisrael as one
And they will place for themselves one Head,
And they will go up from the land,
For great is the Day of Yezreel [Ingathering of God].
