In Irish myth, one of the ancient Irish worthies moves to the part of Greece "where the Hebrew is spoken"! This is quite a startling statement. The time frame was the bronze age. In Greek mythology, names have a "eus" suffix. In bronze age Greece, there was a "Nereus", but the root of this name is "Ner" which means "light" in Hebrew. There was a "Ner" who was an uncle of King Saul of Benjamin. The son of Ner was Abner [my father is Ner]. Nereus appears in Greek myth. King Saul seems to be connected to a clan of Benjamin called Achchi, who were descended from Bela or Belg. The Achchi could be the Achiya or Achaeans of Greece. Ehud or Aod who judged Israel for 80 years in the 1300s bce was of this clan as well. Robert Graves in the Greek Myths believed that Gibeon in Israel was a city of the Achaeans. Gibeon was a city of the Hivites who federated with Israel. Compare the Biblical name "Ittai" to the Greek name "Ittaimenes"
